When creating a saved filter on your contacts, companies, or deals dashboard, you can use AND or OR operators to segment by multiple values for a single property.

Please note: the OR operator can only be used to segment based on multiple values for an individual filter. Contacts must meet the criteria of all individual filters in order to appear.

The OR search operator

You can use an OR operator to segment records that have any of the values for a given property. For instance, if you are looking for contacts in your database that are located in Boston or New York, you can enter your search so that City | contains | "Boston" OR "New York":

The OR operator must be in all capital letters. You can also combine an OR operator search with a wildcard search using the * search function. For instance, if you want to filter freemail addresses, you can build a filter that looks like this:

The AND search operator

The AND search operator is used to segment for records that include multiple values for a single property. For instance, if you want to search for all results that have both hello and gmail.com in the email, try a search like this:

The AND operator must be in all capital letters. With this filter, you'll segment out contacts whose email address includes both values, such as hellokatie@gmail.com.
