How do I track email clicks?

Email click tracking in HubSpot Marketing emails is turned on by default for both the HTML and Plain Text version of your email. This feature provides more detailed insight into how contacts are interacting with your emails.

To manage your email tracking settings:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, click MarketingEmail, then click the Tracking tab.
  • Ensure the toggles next to Click tracking and Plain text click tracking are both switched ON, then click Save.

When analyzing your email performance, clicks will be separated by type on the post-send performance page. Both HTML and plain text clicks will be displayed side by side, along with the total number of clicks.

Click and open rates are available after an email has been sent by navigating to Marketing > Email, then clicking on the name of the email you sent to review the email results.
