How to log your email in the CRM without using the HubSpot Sales email extension

The HubSpot Sales email extension offers a checkbox to log emails in your CRM. Not all email clients are able to support the email extension, but it is still possible get your emails to log in the CRM.

To log your emails on a contact record in the CRM regardless of your email client, add your BCC email address in the BCC field of an outgoing email.

Your BCC email address will be in the following format:

  • [Your-HubID]@bcc.hubspot.com

If you're unsure of your Hub ID or your BCC email address, you can find this within your HubSpot portal with these instructions.

Please note: You do not need to connect your inbox with HubSpot Sales to use this feature. 

Here are a few requirements for using this feature:

  • You are a Sales User, Sales Manager or Sales Administrator in the CRM.
  • Your sending email address matches your CRM user's email address.
  • Our system will automatically skip logging for email addresses that match your company's domain. For this reason, use an email address with a different domain if you would like to test the feature.
