Use Breeze Assistant in Slack

Last updated: April 13, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Use Breeze Assistant in Slack to interact with your HubSpot data directly from your Slack conversations. By mentioning Breeze in a Slack thread, you can summarize CRM records, create tasks and notes, prepare for meetings, and summarize Slack threads using natural language. This helps you access HubSpot CRM information directly in Slack without switching between tools.

If you're a Super Admin, you can opt your account into the Breeze Assistant in Slack beta.

Before you get started

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential consequences of using it.

Understand requirements

Understand limitations & considerations

  • Breeze only responds in Slack when it is explicitly @-mentioned in a thread. It does not monitor channels or threads automatically.
  • Breeze Assistant in Slack only supports mentions in channel threads.

Set your active HubSpot account

If your Slack workspace is connected to multiple HubSpot accounts, you must select which HubSpot account Breeze should use in Slack. If you only have one HubSpot account connected to Slack, you can skip this step.

  1. In Slack, type the command /hs-breeze-select-portal and press Enter.
  2. In the generated prompt, select the HubSpot account you want to use.

Breeze will use the selected HubSpot account for all future requests in this Slack workspace. If you need to switch HubSpot accounts in the future, you can run the same command again.

Use Breeze Assistant in a Slack thread

To use Breeze in Slack, @-mention it in any thread where the HubSpot app is available.

  1. In Slack, navigate to a thread.
  2. Type @HubSpot(Breeze) followed by your request.
  1. Press Enter to send your message.
  2. Breeze will display a thinking indicator, then it will respond directly in the thread.

Please note: you can only use Breeze in Slack with @-mention. Slash commands cannot be used to start a conversation with Breeze.
