Create shared partner deals (BETA)

Register your partner leads in HubSpot using the shared deal card on a contact or company record. When a shared deal is created, it is automatically registered and assigned to a HubSpot sales representative.

Create or register a shared deal

Create a new shared deal

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts or Companies.
  • Click the name of the contact or company you want to register.
  • In the right panel, navigate to the Shared deal section.
  • Click +Add.
  • In the right panel, enter your shared deal details.
  • Click Create shared deal.


Register an existing deal as a shared deal

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Deals.
  • Click the name of the deal you want to convert.
  • In the right panel, in the Shared Deal Info section, click Convert to shared deal.

  • Enter the details of the shared deal and click Create shared deal.

When a shared deal has been created in a partner account, it will be automatically created in HubSpot's CRM and assigned to a sales representative. Partners can view key deal information that syncs from HubSpot when a deal is created and updated. When a partner updates a deal this new information will sync to your HubSpot representative for visibility.

Both the HubSpot sales representative and the partner will have shared visibility to notes, comments, partner compensation eligibility, products selected during deal registration, and any quotes if relevant.

Track registered deals in your partner account

You can view and track registered deals in your partner portal by creating a filtered view on your Deals home using the HubSpot Shared-selling property or by pulling up all deals in the HubSpot Shared-selling pipeline. Any deals that your HubSpot sales representative registers for you will also be included in the filter and will be assigned to the partner lead notifications recipient.


To set a partner lead notification recipient:

  • In your HubSpot Partner account, navigate to Settings > Partners. In the left panel select Communication.
  • In the Get notified about lead activity section, select a user to receive partner lead notifications.

Communicate with the HubSpot Sales team

You can log shared notes on a shared deal to collaborate and respond to your HubSpot sales representative. 

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Deals.
  • Click the name of a shared deal.
  • In Shared Deal Info section in the right panel or in the Shared tab on the record timeline, click Create shared note.
  • To sync a note to HubSpot's CRM, the @Shared deal bot will be automatically populated in the note section. Type your note, when you click Save note, the note will automatically sync to HubSpot's CRM.
  • You can attach and share files and images on shared deals. If you want to delete a file or image, you can do this from the note in the shared deal and it will be deleted in both accounts.
  • When a HubSpot Sales representative shares a note you will be notified. You can comment on any shared note to sync it to HubSpot's CRM.
  • To create a private note that is not synced to HubSpot's CRM, do not @mention the Shared deal bot in your note.

You can view all shared activity on a shared deal in one place to make it easier to streamline your communications with HubSpot. 

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Deals.
  • Click the name of a shared deal.
  • At the top of the deal record, navigate to the Shared tab.
  • Only activity shared with HubSpot will appear in this tab.
