Track goals with the Mutual Action Plan

Last updated: November 4, 2025

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

With a Mutual Action Plan (MAP), you as a Solutions Partner can collaborate with your Partner Development Manager to set annual goals and establish targets for deals created, deals won, and monthly recurring revenue.

It's recommended to set goals at the beginning of each year, then collaborate with your Partner Development Manager to review them quarterly.

Please note: MAP goals are intended for program alignment and performance tracking only. Achievement of these goals does not guarantee any particular business outcome or level of success for partners, and HubSpot accepts no liability in that regard. HubSpot does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of any MAP data, metrics, or reports, and partners are solely responsible for their own business decisions and outcomes.

Set annual goals

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Partner Mutual Action Plan
  2. In the Set your partner goals section, click Set goals for the year
  3. In the Company goals section, enter the goals you want to achieve this year:
    • Organizational goals: goals for your company, such as "sell the business in the next 12 months.
    • Revenue goals: goals related to generating revenue that help you work toward your organizational goal, such as "increase revenue by 20% in the next 12 months."
    • People goals: goals related to hiring or growth, such as "hire a new sales rep in the next 6 months."
    • Market goals: goals related to interacting with the market, such as "expand into vertical / market."
    • HubSpot partnership goals: goals related to working with HubSpot, such as "Get to platinum in the next 3 months."
  4. In the bottom right, click Next
  5. Review your performance from the previous year, then enter goals for each month in each of the following areas:
    • Sourced deals created: deals you create that would generate revenue directly.
    • Sourced deals closed won: deals you create that have been closed and are generating revenue directly.
    • Sourced deal MRR: predictable recurring revenue from your deals.
    • Assisted deal MRR: predictable recurring revenue from deals where you assisted HubSpot.
  6. To apply a uniform growth % to your goals, click the Apply growth percentage dropdown menu and select a percentage from 5% to 30%.
  7. In the bottom right, click Save and exit

Your goals will be shared with your Partner Development Manager and can be changed during quarterly reviews.

Review progress

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Partner Mutual Action Plan
  2. In the HubSpot goals, you can review your progress toward each goal you set. Each goal will display the following for each month and for the year:
    • Current performance (e.g. you closed five sourced deals in January.)
    • Target goal (e.g. you set a goal to close six sourced deals in January.)
    • Percentage to goal (e.g. you got 83% of the way to your sourced deals goal in January.)
  3. By default, performance will be displayed monthly. To view quarterly performance, click Quarterly at the top of the page.
  4. In the Data highlights section, review reporting on your performance, such as average selling price and inflight deals.

Create action tasks

You can work with your Partner Development Manager to create action tasks that will help you achieve your goals. Any action tasks created will be visible by your Partner Development Manager.

  12. Click Create.

Set up quarterly reviews

You and your Partner Development Manager should set aside time to do the following every quarter:

  • Review your performance against the goals you've set.
  • Update future goals, if adjustments are needed.
  • Document any changes to your strategy or the areas where you're focusing your effort.
  • Update progress of existing action tasks, then create new action tasks.
