Download your content and data when canceling your HubSpot account

Last updated: July 17, 2018

Before canceling your HubSpot account, be sure to export and download all of your HubSpot content. Once your account expires, you will no longer have access to any HubSpot tools. HubSpot content (pages, CTAs, forms, etc.) will no longer function and should be removed from any external pages.

Content (pages, posts, templates, files, URL mappings, sitemap)

Follow this guide for downloading your website content from HubSpot.

Marketing emails

  • All HTML email templates in the marketing product will be included in the pages export.
  • To save any WYSIWYG email templates as HTML files, open the template under ContentDesign Manager, click the Actions dropdown menu at the top of the editor, and select Clone to HTML.
  • To download your email analytics, navigate to Marketing > Email. Click Export in the top right corner of the table.
  • Export hard bounces and unsubscribes following the instructions here.

To export your CTA analytics data in your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Content > Calls-to-Action and click Export CTA Data at the top of the page. Please note that all HubSpot CTAs will stop functioning once your account has expired. Be sure to remove them from any external website pages.

To export the campaign analytics data in your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Reports > Analytics Tools. Click Campaign Analytics. Click the date range dropdown menu at the top of the graph and select All data. Scroll down and click Export above the table.

  • You can export your published social messages in your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account by navigating to Social > Publishing and clicking on the Export all button at the top of the page.
  • It is not possible to download any social monitoring streams.

Lists, contacts, companies, and deals

To export your contacts database in your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, create a list of all your contacts. Then, export the list of contacts and be sure to choose the properties (or all properties) that should be included on the export.

If you do not have a Marketing BasicProfessional, or Enterprise account, you can export saved filters instead. Please see these instructions for exporting saved filters of contacts, companies, and deals.

Please note: exporting all your contacts will include unsubscribes. If you don't wish to include unsubscribes, you can include the following criteria in your marketing list: Contact property | Opted out of all email | is not equal to | Yes. If you're exporting a saved filter, you can add Contact property | Opted out of all email | is not equal to | True.

To download all of your prospects data, navigate to ReportsAnalytics Tools. Select Prospects. In the left sidebar, click the Options dropdown menu and select Export.

You can export the data for all of your workflows at once. In your HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise account, navigate to Contacts > Workflows and click Export list at the top of the table. This will send you an excel file with workflow name, status, total contacts enrolled, how many contacts joined your goal list, and the conversion rate of each workflow.

The form submission data for each form must be exported individually. To export a form's data, navigate to your forms:

  • In your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Contacts > Forms.
  • In your HubSpot CRM or Marketing Hub Starter account, navigate to Lead Capture Forms
Hover over the form, click the Actions dropdown menu and select Export submissions.

Forms will no longer function once your HubSpot account has been cancelled. Be sure to remove all HubSpot forms from any external pages.

To export the sources report data in your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Reports > Analytics Tools. Click Traffic Analytics. Click the date range dropdown menu at the top of the graph and select All data. Scroll down and click Export above the table. Do the same for your page performance data by clicking the Pages tab, scrolling down, and clicking Export.

If your website is hosted outside of HubSpot, be sure to remove the HubSpot tracking code from your external pages.

Competitors data cannot currently be downloaded.

Events (Marketing Hub Enterprise only)
