Why is my contact not showing in the marketing performance widget on my dashboard?

The marketing performance widget displays the total count of contacts and customers in your account based on the date they were originally created in HubSpot. This is particularly important to keep in mind when reviewing the count of customers in this dashboard. For example, if a contact was originally created in May and became a customer during the month of July, this contact would be included in the count of customers for the month of May.

There are a few reasons why a contact might not appear in the marketing performance widget in your Dashboard.

  • New contacts will not appear in your Marketing Performance widget in real-time. Your account's analytics update every 20 minutes.
  • Existing contacts that re-convert will not show up in the Marketing Performance widget. The Marketing Performance widget shows the number of new contacts that were added to your contacts database in the time frame selected. For example, if a contact submitted their first form in January and then submitted another form in March, they will be reflected in your data for January.
  • Contacts who have been imported are considered to be from an offline source and will not appear in the Marketing Performance widget on your dashboard by default. To include contacts that were imported in the selected timeframe, hover your mouse over the Marketing Performance widget and check the Include Offline Sources box. Imported contacts will only be displayed if they were created as a contact and visited your site within the select timeframe.
  • Contacts added through the Contacts API (also used by the Salesforce Integration) are considered to be from an offline source and will not appear in the Marketing Performance widget on your dashboard by default. To include contacts that were added through the Contacts API in the selected timeframe, hover your mouse over the Marketing Performance widget and check the Include Offline Sources box. Contacts added via the Contacts API will only be displayed if they were created as a contact and visited your site within the selected timeframe.

Please note: contacts added through the Forms API should appear on the Dashboard if the API is set up correctly to pass the usertoken.
