Use conversations in the HubSpot mobile app

Access your chat conversations directly from the HubSpot mobile app and continue the conversation with your leads and contacts while on the move.

 

Use conversations (iOS)

To live chat from the mobile app:

  • Open the HubSpot app on your device.
  • In the bottom navigation menu, tap Conversations. To filter your conversations, tap the All Conversations dropdown menu and tap the filter you want to apply.

  • Tap the conversation you want to respond to.
  • If the conversation is not assigned yet, tap Assign, and then tap your user to assign the conversation to yourself. You can directly respond and use text, emojis, and voice input, as supported by your mobile keyboard, when chatting with visitors.

  • To assign the conversation to another user, tap Actions, tap Assign, and then, tap a user.

  • When you're done chatting, tap Actions, then tap Close Conversation to end the chat session.
  • To block a visitor, tap Actions, then tap Block Conversation.

To update your conversations settings:

  • Open the HubSpot app on your device.
  • In the bottom navigation menu, tap More.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Conversations.
  • Tap to toggle the Away mode switch on/off to make yourself available/unavailable for incoming chats.
  • Tap to toggle the Reassign replies switch on/off. With this setting enabled, any chat conversations that are re-opened while you are away will be reassigned to another team member.

  • To configure your conversations notification preferences, tap More in the bottom right.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Notifications, then tap Conversations. Set your preferences for Reply notifications and Assign notifications. Learn more about alerts for notifications from the HubSpot mobile app.

To view past conversations:

  • Open the HubSpot app on your device.
  • In the bottom navigation menu, tap Conversations.
  • Tap the Closed tab.

 

Use conversations (Android)

To live chat from the mobile app:

  • Open the HubSpot app on your device.
  • In the bottom navigation menu, tap Conversations.
  • To change inboxes or filter conversations, in the top left, tap the All Conversations dropdown menu.

  • Tap a conversation to open it, then tap Assign to assign the conversation to yourself and respond to your visitor. You can use text, emojis, and voice input when chatting with visitors.

  • To assign the conversation to another user, tap the  icon in the top right, tap Assign and then, tap a user.
  • When you're done chatting, tap the icon in the top right, then tap Close.

To update your conversations settings:

  • Open the HubSpot app on your device.
  • In the bottom navigation menu, tap More.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Conversations.
