View and analyze previous imports

Last updated: April 20, 2021

After importing objects to HubSpot, you can view and analyze your previous imports in the imports dashboard. This can help with any import errors, or understanding where a record was created. You can also delete the records of an import.

  • Name: the name of the import that was added in the Import Details.
  • New records: the number of new records added. If a record already existed in your database prior to the import, it will not be included in this value.

Delete records from an import

You can delete the records that were created or updated by your import. For example, if you’ve imported all new records but made a mistake, you can delete all of the records and import again.

Please note: if you updated existing records via an import, you will not be able to reverse the changes by deleting. You would need to complete another import with the correct information or manually edit the properties.

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to your contacts, companies, deals, tickets, or products.

  • In the upper right, click Import.

  • Hover over the name of the import, then click View [object]. If you’ve imported multiple objects in the file, click View, then in the dropdown menu, select the object of the records you want to delete. If you want to delete all imported records, you will need to repeat this with each object.

  • Select the checkboxes to the left of the records you want to delete. To select all records, select the checkbox at the top left of the table. A blue banner will appear telling you how many records are selected. Click Select all [records].

  • At the top of the table, click delete Delete.
