After connecting HubSpot and NetSuite, you can sync the NetSuite Status field bidirectionally between the two apps. To do this, you must first create a custom property in HubSpot, then set up a field mapping in HubSpot's integration settings. By syncing the Status field, you can sync your contacts from HubSpot to NetSuite as leads, prospects, or customers.

Create a custom property in HubSpot

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Properties.
  3. Click the Select an object dropdown menu, then select Contact properties.
  4. Above the table, click Create property.

  5. In the property editor, set the property’s details, i.e. Property label, Brand, Group, Description. Learn more about creating custom properties
  6. In the Label field, enter NetSuite Status
  7. In the left sidebar menu, click Field Type.
  8. Click the Field type dropdown menu and select Dropdown select
  9. In the Dropdown options table, enter all the property values from the Status field in NetSuite. The labels are case-sensitive and must match the values in NetSuite exactly.
  10. After you've entered all the labels, in the left sidebar menu, click Rules and select the checkbox if you want the property to show in forms and bots. Then click Create
  11. Repeat the steps above for a company property if needed.
The new custom property won't be automatically populated with data for contacts. You must either import the values or use a workflow to set the property before you can map the values to NetSuite.
