Use guided execution in the sales workspace (BETA)

If you have an assigned Sales Hub seat, you can use guided execution to complete tasks, sequence activities, or guided actions from the Summary tab of the sales workspace. Guided execution can be useful if you want complete all your sales to-dos in one place.
Launch guided execution from the sales workspace
You can launch guided execution multiple ways within the sales workspace. Your experience will be slightly different depending on how you navigate there.
Tasks, sequence tasks, and guided execution
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- In the Your tasks section, Click the number associated with your tasks. You can also click any of your sequence steps or guided actions.
When you launch guided execution, tasks, sequence tasks, and guided actions are available on the same page. Once the guided execution page launches, it'll default to your tasks, sequence tasks, or guided actions queue based on how you navigated there. For example, if you click your sequence tasks, guided execution will default to your tasks for a specific sequence.
View and filter your guided execution queues
From the guided execution page, you can select which queue to display and hide the queue panel. You can also complete, edit, and delete tasks, sequence tasks, and guided actions.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- In the Your tasks section, Click the number associated with your tasks.
- In your guided execution queue, you can view the following:
- Queue panel: the list of tasks, activities, or guided actions to complete.
- Activity panel: contains the corresponding activity editor or a preview of the record that needs to be updated.
- Preview panel: details about the record, task, or action.
- Click the dropdowns on the left to change the queue of tasks, guided actions, or the sequence and the task type or the sequence step.
- To hide the filters and queue list in the left panel, click Close queue. Then, you can click the arrows in the top right to navigate through your queue.
Complete a task, sequence activity, or guided action
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- In the Your tasks section, Click the number associated with your tasks.
- To view more information about a task, sequence activity, or guided action click the name.
- In the activity panel, you'll be prompted to complete the activity. For example:
- To complete an email task or follow up guided action, you'll be prompted to send a one-to-one email.
- To make a call, you’ll be prompted to make a call.
- To complete meeting prep, you'll be redirected to the Schedule tab so you can use meeting assistant.
- In the activity panel, you'll be prompted to complete the activity. For example:
- For tasks, sequence activities, or guided actions that require you to reach out, you can choose a different action instead of the default. To do that, in the activity panel, click Activities, then select the action.
- If there are multiple actions to complete in the activity panel, click the action to expand each task.
- In the preview panel, you can view a preview of the task, activity, or the record associated with the guided action. To expand each section, click the section title. To view the entire record, click View record in the top right.
- To mark the task or guided action as completed, in the queue panel, click the checkmark to the right of the task or sequence activity, or click Complete in the top right.
- For tasks, based on your task settings, you may be prompted to create a follow-up task. In the pop-up window, click Create task, Not now, or click task settings to turn off the feature.
- Some tasks may automatically be marked as completed when you complete the action. For example, after you send a one-to-one email or make a call, the task is automatically completed.
Edit or delete tasks or sequence activities
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- In the Your tasks section, Click the number associated with your tasks.
- To edit, reschedule, or reassign a task or sequence activity, in the queue panel, click the name. Then, in the right panel, edit the task or sequence activity details.
- To delete a task or sequence activity, click the name. Then, in the right panel, click Actions, then select Delete. In the pop-up box, click Delete to confirm.
Edit, delete, or complete tasks, sequence activities, or guided actions in bulk
You can complete tasks, sequence activities and guided actions in bulk, but you can only edit or delete tasks and sequence activities in bulk.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- In the Your tasks section, Click the number associated with your tasks.
- In the queue panel, click the checkbox to the left of the tasks and activities. Click the Select all items checkbox to select every item in the list.
- Click the Select action dropdown menu, then select the action you want to complete.
- Complete your action in the pop-up box, then click Save.
Click X in the top right to return to the sales workspace.
