Test records in scoring tools

For lead scores and heath scores, the Test option allows you to check what the score would be for a specific contact or company. You can see the test record's total score as well as points for each rule.

If you're a Super Admin, you can opt your account into the Test a record in new scoring apps beta.

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Lead Scoring.
  • Click the name of an existing score or create a new lead score or health score.
  • In the top right, click Test a [contact/company].

  • Click the Search dropdown menu to search for and select the record to test.
  • At the top, the total score and number of criteria matched is displayed.
  • To view how the score was calculated based on specific rules, scroll down to view your criteria:
    • If the contact meets the criteria of a rule, there will be in a green checkmark and the number of points added or subtracted. Learn more about filter criteria.
    • If the contact does not meet the criteria of a rule, there will be a red X with 0 points.

  • To test another contact, click the dropdown menu and select another record to test.
  • To stop testing, click Stop testing or click the X on the right of the testing banner.
