Monitor your social networks in the social inbox. You can review interactions on your published social posts such as comments, reposts, and new followers. From the social inbox, you can also use AI to generate weekly insights based on your social interactions.
Social interactions
Monitor your social interactions for social posts published from HubSpot and directly from the social networks. The interactions available depend on the social networks being reviewed:

Review and filter your inbox streams
To filter your inbox streams by social media account or activity status:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- At the top, click the Monitor tab.
- You'll be redirected to All Activity in your inbox streams. By default, your inbox streams will include all available activity from your connected social media accounts.
- In the top left, you can use the following filters:
- Accounts: filter activity by social accounts.
- Interaction type: filter activity by network and interaction type, such as a Facebook or Youtube comment.
- Status: filter activity by status. You can filter by the following status types: Read, Unread, Replied to, or Archived.
- To review all saved interactions, in the left sidebar menu, click Saved.
- To review all archived interactions, in the left sidebar menu, click Archived.
- To review all comments, in the left sidebar menu, click Comments.
- To review all reposts, in the left sidebar menu, click Reposts. Currently, only X reposts will be displayed.
- To review all new followers, in the left sidebar menu, click New followers. Currently, only new X followers will be displayed.
- You can review a follower's details such as follower count, friends count, and status count.
- To follow a new X follower, click Follow.
Manage your comments
Conversations are text-based engagements with your social accounts or posts published through HubSpot, such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube comments.
All comments will be included in the conversations, including threaded conversations and externally published comments.
To react and respond to your social media conversations:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- At the top, click the Monitor tab.
- In the left sidebar menu, click Comments.
- To archive a comment, in the top left, click the archive archive icon. Or, in the top right, click Actions and select Archive.
- To view the comment in the social network, in the top right click Actions and select View on [social network].
- To review the complete comment thread, click the comment. Threaded comments will display the number of comments in the thread.
- In the right panel, review the post and any threaded comments:
- To review the post details in the social tool, click Action and select Post details.
- To clone the social post, click Action and select Clone. The cloned social post and details will display in the social editor. This does not apply for Youtube posts.

- To review the post in the social network, click Action and select View on [social network].
Generate weekly insights based on your social inbox (Marketing Hub Enterprise only)
If you have a Marketing Hub Enterprise account, you can use AI to generate recommended actions for managing your social networks. You can also generate insights such as an overview of your inbox's engagements, sentiments, and interactions. Use these generated insights to analyze the performance of your social posts in the previous week.
- Your published social post data will be analyzed every Monday, based on your account's time zone.
- By default, your weekly inbox This insight will include data from all connected social accounts except X accounts.
- Your weekly insights may take up to 5 minutes to generate.
- If there is insufficient social interaction data on your published posts, weekly insights cannot be generated. Instead, an error message will display.
Necessary disclosure: HubSpot shares your social media data and interactions with OpenAI in order to enable your use of this tool. By using this tool in beta, you agree to comply with HubSpot’s Beta Terms as well as OpenAI’s Usage Policies, Content Policy, and Sharing & Publication Policy.
Turn on AI features
To use AI to generate insights, you must turn on the following AI settings:
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, in the Account management section, navigate to AI.
- In the Access tab of your AI settings, click to toggle the Give users access to generative AI tools and features and Customer conversation data switch on. Learn more about managing your AI settings.
Generate insights
After turning on your AI features, you can generate insights based on the comments and interactions in your social inbox.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- At the top, click the Monitor tab.
- To use HubSpot AI to generate your weekly insights across all networks, in the top right, click Weekly Insights.
- In the left panel, review your weekly insights:
- Recommended actions: an AI generated set of recommendations based on past and current comments and interactions
- Engagement overview: an overview of your interactions such as the count of comments and reactions to your published social posts. This includes both HubSpot published posts and externally published posts.
- Sentiment analysis: an AI-generated sentiment analysis of your social interactions, this includes the percentage of social interactions that expressed positive, neutral, or negative sentiment.
- Interaction summary: an AI-generated summary of all interactions and comments with your social accounts and an analysis of this summary.
