When composing an email template, it's important to add components that are personalized based on your template's recipient. Personalization tokens help with that, giving you the ability to add tokens that correspond to contact or company properties of your recipient. .
- In the CRM, navigate to HubSpot Sales > Templates.
- Find the template you'd like to edit, hover over it, then click the Edit button or create a new template.
- Place your cursor in the body of your email where you'd like to insert a personalization token.
- Click on the Contact token or Company token dropdown and select the contact or company property you'd like to insert.
Please note: if you'd to add the name of your contact's associated company to your template, you should add the Company token entitled Name (or Account Name if you are Salesforce integrated). This is different from the Contact property entitled Company Name. Check out this article for more information on the difference between these two properties.
