How do If/then branches work in Workflows?

If/then branches in workflows allow you to set up criteria to have contacts execute different actions depending on if they satisfy the branch criteria or not. To set up an if/then branch:
  • Navigate in HubSpot Marketing to Contacts > Workflows
  • Click on a workflow in order to edit it
  • Click the + button

  • Select Add if/then branch
  • Select your filter criteria, the available criteria are:

  • Click Save once you select the filter for your If/then branch
    • In the screenshot below, the Email criteria is selected, therefore anyone who reaches this branch and has been sent the "Download the 5 tips" email will proceed down the "Yes" branch. Anyone who has not been sent the "Download the 5 tips" email will proceed down the "No" branch.
  • Add actions to the "Yes" and "No" branches for contacts who have satisfied or have not satisfied the branch criteria.
