Use assistants and agents in Breeze Studio

Additional subscriptions required for certain features
In Breeze Studio, you can customize Breeze agents from the HubSpot Marketplace to better meet your specific needs. You can also build Breeze custom assistants to provide targeted information for users in your account.
Please note: Please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your enabled data inputs for AI features, including your prompts. Admins can configure generative AI features in account management settings. Before you get started
Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential considerations of using it.
Understand requirements
To edit and run agents and assistants in Breeze Studio, the following requirements must be met:- In AI settings, toggle the following switches on:
- Give users access to generative AI tools and features
- CRM data
- Customer conversion data
- Files data
- Give users access to Breeze Assistant
- Give users the Breeze Studio user permission.
Understand limitations & considerations
- Some agents and assistants require additional subscriptions to use.
- An agent's default inputs, instructions, and tools cannot be edited, deleted, or rearranged.
Understand assistants and agents
While both agents and assistants use AI to improve your team's efficiency, they operate differently:

Use assistants
Your team can access assistants from within Breeze Assistant to answer questions and provide guidance. You can download pre-built assistants in the HubSpot Marketplace. In Breeze Studio, you can customize pre-built assistants or create custom assistants from scratch.
Install assistants from the HubSpot Marketplace
In the HubSpot Marketplace, you can download pre-built assistants, in addition to agents, apps, themes, and modules.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Marketplace.
- Click the assistant's card.
- In the dialog box, review the assistant's information:
- Built by: creator of the assistant.
- Overview: summary of the capabilities of the assistant. Click See more to view the entire summary.
- Features: explanation of individual features available in the assistant.
- More info: additional information about the assistant, including links to contact the assistant's creator for support.
- In the top left, click Add.
Create or customize assistants
In Breeze Studio, you can create custom assistants from scratch or customize assistants added from the HubSpot Marketplace.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Breeze Studio.
- Click the Assistants tab.
- To create a new assistant, click Create assistant in the top right. To edit an existing assistant, hover over the assistant's card, then click the menu icon and select Configure.
- In the assistant editor, click the edit edit icon at the top of the page and enter a name for your assistant.
- In the Welcome message section, enter a message that will appear for any users using the assistant.
- In the Assistant instructions section, enter a description of what the assistant should do and how it should interact with users.
- In the Set the information this assistant can access section, set the information the assistant can pull from to answer users' questions:
- In the What this assistant can access section, select Web browsing to allow the bot to use search engines to find answers to questions.
- In the Knowledge section, click Add knowledge to add a knowledge vault you've uploaded with context about your business. Learn more about using knowledge vaults in Breeze Studio.
- In the About this assistant section, enter a description of the assistant's purpose.
- To edit the assistant's icon, click the current icon, then select an image from HubSpot's files tool or upload a new one.
- To test the assistant, enter a prompt in the test assistant in the right column, then click the send send icon.
- When you've finished editing and testing the assistant, click Publish in the top right to make the assistant available to users in Breeze Assistant.
Use assistants
- In the top navigation bar, click Breeze Assistant in the upper right.
- In the right panel, click the Assistants dropdown menu in the top left and select a custom assistant.
- To add apps from Dashworks, click Add apps, then select each app you want to include.
- Enter a prompt, then click the send send icon.
Use agents
You can use agents to accomplish specific, complex tasks in HubSpot. In the HubSpot Marketplace, you can download pre-built agents, in addition to assistants, apps, themes, and modules. You can then customize agents in Breeze Studio.
Install agents from the HubSpot Marketplace
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Marketplace.
- Click the agent's card.
- Review the agent's information:
- Built by: creator of the agent
- Installs: number of HubSpot accounts that have installed this agent.
- Overview: summary of the capabilities of the agent. Click See more to view the entire summary.
- Features: explanation of individual features available in the agent.
- Agent functionality: which tools the agent uses by default.
- More info: additional information about the agent, including links to contact the agent's creator for support.
- In the top left, click Add.
Customize Breeze agents
In Breeze Studio, you can customize an agent with additional instructions, tools, and knowledge vaults.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Breeze Studio.
- Click the name of the agent.
- In the top right, click Configure agent.
- To edit a copy of this agent, click Clone in the top right of the agent editor.
- In the What this agent needs from users section, fill in any fields that are required during setup.
- To manage custom inputs that give the agent information:
- In the During setup section, click Manage inputs.
- To add a new custom input, click the Add input dropdown menu in the right panel and select an input format.
- On the input's card, enter a name and description for your input.
- If the input is required to run the agent, select the Required checkbox.
- To rearrange custom inputs, click thedragHandle drag and drop icon on the input's card and drag the input into a new location.
- To remove a custom input, click the X on the input's card.
- In the Agent instructions field, review the agent's default instructions. This field cannot be edited.
- To add additional instructions, click Add extra instructions and enter additional context on the agent's tone, structure, or output format.
- In the What this agent can access section, review the default tools this agent can use to accomplish its tasks. These tools cannot be removed.
- To add additional tools, click Add tool. Learn more about using tools in Breeze Studio.
- In the Knowledge section, click Add knowledge to add a knowledge vault with additional context. Learn more about using knowledge vaults in Breeze Studio.
- For agents that support automation, click Select trigger in the Automate this agent section to set a trigger for when the automation will occur. Automation requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription to use.
- In the right column, fill in any fields that are used each time the agent runs. Required fields will be marked with an * asterisk.
- Click Run agent to test the agent's current configuration.
- To run an additional test, click New test in the top right.
- When you've finished editing your agent, click Publish in the top right to push your changes live.
Run Breeze agents
Once you've published a Breeze agent, you can run it from Breeze Studio.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Breeze Studio.
- Click the name of the agent.
- Fill in any fields that are used each time the agent runs. Required fields will be marked with an * asterisk.
- Click Run agent to start the agent. The time it takes to run the agent will depend on the complexity of required tasks.
- When the agent has finished running, review the agent's output. By default, the output will be optimized for readability. To view the output in markdown instead, toggle the Visual output switch on in the top right.
- To view sources the agent is using to generate its output:
- In the Activity column, click the [#] sources button underneath an action.
- In the pop-up box, click a website to view the source.
- To download the output in PDF format:
- At the top of the page, click Export PDF.
- When the export is ready, click the notification notification icon in top navigation bar.
- In the right panel, click the export notification to begin the download.
- To create a direct link to the output, click Copy link. This link can only be viewed by the user who ran the agent to create the output and Super Admins in the account.
Review agent output
Once you've run an agent, you can review its output at any time.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Breeze Studio.
- Click the name of the agent.
- In the History section on the left, click the run you want to review.
- To run the agent again with adjustments, enter a prompt in the Activities column, then click the send send icon.
- To rename a run for easier navigation, click the menu icon in the History column and select Rename. Then enter a new name for the run.
Manage assistant or agent access
In Breeze Studio, you can control which users have access to each agent and assistant. By default, Super Admins can edit agents and assistants and all users can run them.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Breeze > Breeze Studio.
- If you're editing access for an assistant, click the Assistants tab.
- Hover over the agent or assistant, then click theverticalMenumenu icon and select Configure.
- In the editor, click Manage access in the About this agent/assistant section of the left column.
- Select an access option:
- Only I can edit and run the agent/assistant: only the user who creates the agent or assistant can edit or run it.
- Only I can edit, everyone can run the agent/assistant: only the user who creates the agent or assistant can edit its configuration. All users can run the agent or assistant.
- Everyone can edit and run the agent/assistant: all users can run and edit the configuration of the agent or assistant.
- Assign to users and teams: select which individual users and teams have Run or Run and edit access to the agent or assistant.
- When you've finished editing the agent or assistant, click Publish in the top right.
