Using HubSpot's social publishing tool, you can post messages to the social media channels that you have connected to your HubSpot account. However, there are times when your posts may not publish successfully. The most common errors and steps you can take to resolve them are listed below:
- Image rejected - ensure that your image is below the size limit and within the size parameters recommended for the social network you're trying to post to. Also, be sure to check that the picture's file format is JPEG or PNG and that the URL where the image is being hosted is still live. When attaching an image to your social message, it's recommended to use an image that is featured in the page you're sharing.
- Authorization failed - ensure that your account is authorized for posting using HubSpot. An easy way to check this is to re-authorize it on the Social Settings page (don't delete it; just connect the account again).
- Third party network issue - if you come across a third party network error, once you've checked that your image and account are working, clone your social message and try posting it again.
- Facebook rate limit - Facebook has a limit on their API, which can affect posting to your Facebook account via HubSpot. The best solution is to wait, as this limit adjusts over a 24-hour period.
