Review data metrics on deal views

For each deal view, there is a summary of amount, stage, and duration information which enables you to quickly understand the data and progress of your deals. You can navigate between different pipelines and views to review data metrics for specific subsets of deals. This data can help you identify trends and areas of improvement for your processes, as well as prioritize the deals to focus on. You can also customize the metrics on custom deal views.
View data metrics on a deal view
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Deals.
- Navigate to the pipeline and view for which you want to review data insights.
- By default, the data insights are automatically displayed on all views in table and board view.
- To hide the summary, click Hide Metrics in the top right.
- To display the summary, click Show Metrics.
- The following information is included on the data metrics card:
- Total deal amount: the sum of amounts of all deals in the view, including closed deals. The average amount per deal is also displayed, which is calculated by dividing the total amount by the number of deals with amount values.
- Weighted deal amount: the sum of the weighted amount of all deals in the view. The average weighted amount per deal is also displayed, which is calculated by dividing the total weighted amount by the number of deals with amount values, excluding closed lost deals.
- Open deal amount: the sum of amounts of deals in open stages (i.e. not closed as won or lost). The average amount per open deal is also displayed, which is calculated by dividing the total by the number of deals with amount values in open stages.
- Closed deal amount: the sum of amounts of deals in closed won stages. The average amount per closed won deal is also displayed, which is calculated by dividing the total by the number of deals with amount values in closed won stages.
- New deal amount: the sum of amounts of deals created this week. The average is also displayed, which is calculated by dividing the total new deal amount by the number of new deals.
- Average deal age: the average number of days from deal creation to close. For open deals, this includes the number of days from deal creation to today.
Please note: in accounts with multiple currencies, data insights are based on the Amount in company currency and Weighted amount in company currency properties. To aggregate the summary data, all deals are converted to the company currency based on the exchange rate set in the account.
- The data metrics update in real time as you make changes to deals in the view (e.g., create, delete, or edit a deal's amount/stage), or when you update the view's filters.

Edit data metrics on custom deal views
Super Admins or users that own a custom deal view can customize the displayed data metrics. This means non Super Admin users can only customize views that they have created.
To edit data metrics:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Deals.
- Navigate to the pipeline and custom view you want to edit.
- In the upper right of the Metrics section, click the settingsIcon configure icon.
- In the dialog box, you can do the following:
- Edit existing metrics: hover on an existing metric, click the editIcon edit icon, then configure the Name, Property, Aggregation, Secondary metric, or filters.
- Add metrics: on the left side, click Add new metric, then customize to your needs. You can add up to six total metrics.
- Remove metrics: hover on an existing metric, then click the X.
When you're finished, click Apply.
Manage metrics for other objects (BETA)
If you're a user in a Starter, Professional, or Enterprise account enrolled in the Flexible CRM Views beta, you can view metrics on contact, company, and ticket index pages.

- Navigate to your records:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Companies.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Tickets.
- Click the name of a view tab.
- Click the view type button, then select an option.
- Click the Metrics button to show or hide the metrics.
Edit metrics for other objects on custom view tabs (BETA)
Super Admins or users that own a custom view tab can customize the displayed metrics. This means non Super Admin users can only customize view tabs that they've created.
- Navigate to your records:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Companies.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Tickets.
- Click the name of a view tab.
- Click the view type button, then select an option.
- Click the Metrics button to show the metrics.
- In the upper right of the Metrics section, click the settingsIcon configure icon.
- In the dialog box, you can do the following:
- Edit existing metrics: hover on an existing metric, click the editIcon edit icon, then configure the Property, Name, Aggregation, Secondary metric, or filters.
- Add metrics: click Add new metric, then customize to your needs. You can add up to six total metrics.
- Remove metrics: hover on an existing metric, then click the X.
When you're finished, click Apply.
Export or use data insights in other tools
You can use data from the insights card in other tools, such as segments and reports, or export a file with the deal data.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Deals.
- Navigate to the pipeline and view for which you want to review data insights.
- Click a value on the insights card.
- In the dialog box, you can do the following:
- Group data: select a dimension to group the deals. For example, view total deal amount broken down by the teams that own the deals.
- Use in segment: create a new static segment of the deals included in the report, or add the deals to an existing static segment.
- Export: export a file with the deals and their values.
- Save as report: save the report and add it to your reports table and/or dashboards.
- Click the X in the top right to close the report.
Turn data insights on or off for your account
If you're a Super Admin, you can turn deal metrics on or off in your deal settings. With insights turned on, the data insights card will appear on all deal views, but an individual user can choose to show or hide it each time they access the view. This action will impact their view only. If turned off, the data metrics card will be hidden on deal views for all users.
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects > Deals.
- Click the Index Customization tab.
- By default, deal insights are turned on. To turn the feature off, toggle the Show Deal Insights switch off.
- To turn the feature back on, toggle the Show Deal Insights switch on.
