With survey response tags, you can categorize customer feedback to find common themes and act on them to address customer concerns. You can add up to 10 tags for each survey response. Each tag can be up to 100 characters long.
Seats required for certain features An assigned Service Hub seat is required to add tags to survey responses starting May 15, 2025. Learn more in HubSpot's Products & Services catalog.
Tag an individual survey response
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Service > Feedback Surveys.
- Click the name of your survey.
- Hover over a response and click Add tags.
- In the right panel, click the Tags dropdown menu and select a tag. To add a new tag, enter a tag name and click + Add tag.
- When finished, click Update tags.

Bulk tag survey responses
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Service > Feedback Surveys.
- In the responses table, select the checkbox next to each response you want to tag and then click + Add tags.
- In the dialog box, select one or more tags and click Add tags.

Manage your tags
You can create, edit, and delete tags. Once created, tags can be used to filter responses, create views in the feedback tool, and used as criteria for segments and reports.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Service > Feedback Surveys.
- Click the Manage tags tab.
- To add a new tag, click Add tags on the top right. In the dialog box, enter a tag name and then click Create.
- To delete a tag, select the checkbox next to the tag and then click Delete tag.
- To edit a tag, hover over a tag and click Edit.
