The default sales forecast uses Deal Amount and Close Date. If you're a Super Admin, you can submit a forecast to view multiple outcomes for your team that measure revenue using:
- a HubSpot owned or custom deal date property;
- and a HubSpot owned or custom deal amount property that's marked as a currency field type.
This gives you more flexibility with forecasting by allowing you to choose which properties are used to forecast.
Create a custom forecast
To create a forecast to view multiple outcomes:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Forecast.
- In the upper right, click Create Forecast type.
- In the Forecast type name field, enter a name for the forecast.
- Click the Date property dropdown menu, and select a HubSpot owned date property.
- Click the Amount property dropdown menu, and select a HubSpot owned deal amount property.
Please note: recurring revenue properties (e.g., Monthly recurring revenue and Annual recurring revenue) won't recur over time in a forecast. The revenue amount will be realized on the date value of the selected date property. It will not recur prior to or after that date.
- Click Choose the columns that display when viewing the deal table in forecasting to customize the columns that display when viewing the deal table in forecasting. Learn how to edit your columns.
- In the bottom right, click Finish.

In the pop-up box, select the Confirm deletion of forecast type and goals checkbox, then click Yes, delete forecast types and associated goals. All users will lose access to the forecast type. All forecast submissions and goals associated with the forecast type will be permanently deleted.
