When you purchased your HubSpot subscription, you chose a customer platform edition based on your company’s size and operational needs: Starter, Professional, or Enterprise. Your edition determines what HubSpot features you have access to and your included capacity.

With each HubSpot edition, you can:

  • Purchase seats and assign them to your team members, giving them access to HubSpot tools.
  • Use HubSpot Credits for features that help your teams scale their work, such as AI agents, email, and automation.
  • Use included CRM capacity to store your records, based on your company’s size and data complexity.

You can increase some limits by upgrading your edition or purchasing add-ons.

Seats

To give your users access to HubSpot features, assign them seats based on their role. The type of seat that you assign to a user reflects what access that user will have to HubSpot tools.

You can choose from the following seat types:

  • Core Seat: gives your users access to the core customer platform features and tools available in your HubSpot edition, as well as Breeze Assistant, data enrichment, Smart CRM, calling, marketing automation, and campaigns.
  • Front Office Seat: gives your users access to dedicated workspaces and tools in addition to the core seat access. It’s designed to give customer-facing users access to features like sales workspace, sequences, help desk, and customer success workspace.
  • View-only Seat: allows users to view data in your HubSpot account, but they can’t make any changes to the data or the HubSpot account.
  • Partner Seat: a free seat that gives eligible HubSpot Solutions Partners and provider employees access to all features in a client's account.
  • Developer Seat: a free seat that provides access only to the Developer Platform.

Bundles, add-ons, and limit increases

Expand your access to HubSpot features or increase your capacity limits with bundles and add-ons.

Email sends bundles

Subscription required A Professional or Enterprise subscription is required to purchase this bundle.

Sending emails in HubSpot uses HubSpot Credits. You have the option to pay with HubSpot Credits for each individual email send. Alternatively, if you have a Professional or Enterprise subscription, you can purchase the Emails Sends bundle, which adds monthly email send capacity. Different bundle sizes are available for purchase to match your sending volume. If your email sends exceed your monthly bundle limit, additional email sends will consume HubSpot Credits.

For example, if you buy the medium email bundle, you have 10,000 monthly email sends available in your HubSpot account. If during one month you go over the limit and send 11,000 emails, you’ll pay with HubSpot Credits for the extra 1,000 emails.
