How to adjust your Salesforce API call limit

The HubSpot Salesforce integration allows your Salesforce account and your HubSpot account to talk to each other through the use of APIs.

What is an API?

API stands for “application programming interface.” Simply stated, it’s a means for two entirely different programs to talk to one another and pass information between them.

Each Salesforce organization has a limited number of API calls. Each Salesforce organization can be integrated with several other organizations at a time - HubSpot may just be one of many accounts talking with your Salesforce account. This limited number of API calls per Salesforce organization is made available every 24 hours and depends on your contract with Salesforce.

Let’s go through the process of setting an API call limit for Salesforce within your HubSpot account.

Go to Integrations

In your HubSpot account, click your photo or avatar in the top right-hand corner, then click Integrations.

Access your Salesforce settings

Scroll down to Salesforce and click Settings.

Set your API call limit

Scroll down to the API Call Use section. Here, you can see how many API calls have been used by HubSpot in the last 24 hours, as well as the limit you currently have set.

In the Allocated to HubSpot field, you can change the number of Salesforce API calls HubSpot is allowed to use each day. When you are done, click Update.
