Create company, deal, ticket, or quote-based workflows

Create company, deal, ticket, or quote-based workflows to enroll and take action on objects or any of their associated records.

Workflow types are available for the following subscriptions:

  • Ticket workflows: Service Hub Professional and Enterprise
  • Deal workflows: Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise
  • Quote workflows: Sales Hub Enterprise
  • Contact and company workflows: all Professional and Enterprise. Learn how to create contact-based workflows.


  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
  • In the upper right, click Create workflow.
  • In the left panel, choose whether you want to start your workflow from scratch, or from a template.
    • Start from scratch: to begin with a blank workflow, click the Start from scratch tab. Then, select Company-based, Deal-based, Ticket-based, or Quote-based as your workflow type in the left panel.

    • Templates: to start with a default set of enrollment triggers and actions, click the Templates tab. In the left panel, you can filter the templates using the Type dropdown menu, or search for a template using the search field. Select a template to preview the enrollment triggers and actions on the right.

  • Click the pencil icon edit to give your workflow a name, then click Create workflow

Enrollment and actions

  • In the workflow editor, click Set enrollment triggers. Learn more about setting enrollment triggers in workflows.
  • In the right panel, Trigger tab, select a filter type for your enrollment trigger. Set up the criteria, then click Apply filter.
  • By default, records will only be enrolled in a workflow the first time they meet the enrollment triggers. Learn more about adding re-enrollment triggers to workflows.
    • To enable re-enrollment, click the Re-enrollment tab.
    • Click to toggle the Re-enrollment switch on.
    • Select the trigger(s) you want to use for re-enrollment.
  • Add more enrollment triggers if needed.
  • When you're done, click Save.


  • Set up the details of the action, then click Save.
  • Click the plus icon + to add more workflow actions.


  • To edit your workflow settings, click the Settings tab.
  • By default, workflow actions will execute at any time of the day. To specify times when actions can take place, select Specific times.
    • Select the day(s) that actions to take place.
    • Under each selected day, use the dropdown menus to specify the time range for action execution during each day.
  • To unenroll records from the workflow that meet certain criteria, click Unenrollment and suppression. Learn more about unenrollment triggers in workflows.

    • In the right panel, select an object or associated record property for your unenrollment trigger. Set up the criteria, then click Apply filter.
    • Add more unenrollment triggers if needed. When you're done, click Save.

Enable your workflow

  • When you're ready to enable your workflow, click Review in the upper right.
  • Choose if you want to enroll existing objects:
    • To enroll records that meet the enrollment triggers only after the workflow is turned on, select No, only enroll [objects] which meet the trigger criteria after turning the workflow on.
    • To enroll existing objects that meet the enrollment triggers, select Yes, enroll existing [objects] which meet the trigger criteria as of now.

  • Review the other workflow settings, then click Turn on.
  • In the dialog box, click Yes, turn on.
