How can I change which activities show in the timeline?

Marketing: Free, Starter, Basic, Pro, Enterprise
Sales: Free, Starter, Professional

You can customize the timeline on a contact, company, or deal record to display specific types of information. 

  • Navigate to the record type you'd like to customize:
    • If you're using HubSpot's marketing tools, navigate to Contacts Contacts
    • If you're using HubSpot's sales tools, navigate to ContactsCompanies, or Deals.
  • Click on the contact, company, or deal name to access the record.
  • Click the Filter timeline dropdown menu.
  • Check the box(es) next to the type(s) of information you'd like to see included in the timeline. Note that for deals and companies, the Marketing column in the filters will not appear.


It is also possible to quickly filter between different types of activities using the tabs across the top of the contact timeline. This allows you to select from all filtered timeline activity, notes, emails, calls, or tasks.
