In your activity feed, you can review a list of your sales activity notifications from the last year. Real-time notifications are triggered when a lead revisits your site, a tracked email is opened or clicked, a shared document is viewed, or a meeting is booked.
Before you get started
- The number of sales activity notifications you receive per month depends on your HubSpot subscription.
- Users with an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub seat can receive unlimited sales activity notifications.
- Users without an assigned seat and accounts with free tools can receive up to 200 sales activity notifications per month. If the monthly limit is reached, you can send tracked emails and receive real-time notifications, but your activity feed will not show notifications (they'll be blurred) until the count resets on the first calendar day of the next month.
- If you have an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub seat but are still seeing a monthly limit, your activity feed may be tied to the wrong HubSpot account. Learn how to update which HubSpot account the extension is linked to for the HubSpot Sales Chrome extension and the HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in.
- Your activity feed is user-specific and will only display activity from emails that you’ve sent. Other users, including Super Admins, do not have access to view the activity feed for another user.
- Your activity feed will only display email notifications for tracked emails. This includes emails sent through the HubSpot CRM or through a HubSpot Sales extension. For example, if you have sent an email through a HubSpot Sales extension that is logged but not tracked, it will not be displayed as a notification in your activity feed. Learn more about sending tracked email.
- If you delete an email on a conversation, contact, or company record, the email's tracking information will also be removed from the activity feed.
Receive real-time notifications
To receive real-time notifications, you must turn on the corresponding notifications in your notification settings in HubSpot. Learn how to set up your user notifications.
Understand your activity feed
In the activity feed, sales activities are grouped under the corresponding contact. Your feed can include the following activity types:
- All activity types: view all recent activity.
- Email opens: view all recent email opens. Learn more about why you may also see multiple opens for the same email.
- Email clicks: view all recent email clicks.
- Sent emails: view all recent sent emails.
- Lead visits: view all recent lead revisit notifications.
- Prospect visits: view all recent visits from your prospects.
- Document views: view all recent views on sales documents that you own.
- Meetings: view all recent meetings booked with a HubSpot meetings link.

Use your activity feed
You can view sales activity from the last year in your activity feed on desktop and in the HubSpot mobile app. You can also access your activity feed by clicking your HubSpot Sales extension, or by using the Activity feed timeline report from the report library.
Access your activity feed on desktop
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- At the top, click the Feed tab.
- If you don't have an assigned Sales Hub seat, you’ll have access to the Feed tab only. The other sales workspace tabs will not be accessible.
- At the top of the feed, you can filter your activities with the following:
- Use the search bar to search for a specific activity or contact.
- Click the Activity type dropdown menu to filter your feed by specific activity types.
- If you have an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub seat, click the Sequence enrollment dropdown menu to filter your feed by Sequence enrollment.
- To expand an activity card and view a contact’s recent sales engagements, click [X] open/sent + other activity.
- The collapsed card will only show the activity relating to the most recent engagement (e.g., 1 open refers only to the contact's most recent email thread).
- To follow up with a contact or log more sales activities within your feed:
- Hover over the activity and click Call, Email, Create Task, or More.
- Under the More dropdown menu, you can:
- Create Note to log a note on the record.
- Schedule to schedule a meeting with the contact.
- Email in Outlook to navigate to your connected inbox if you connected your personal inbox with Outlook.
- Turn off thread notifications to mute notifications for the specific thread. Once turned off, you can resume thread notifications in the same More dropdown menu by clicking Turn on thread notifications. You can also mute and resume notifications for a specific thread by clicking the notificationIcon Bell icon in the upper right of the activity.
- Delete activity bundle to remove the activity from your feed. This cannot be undone.
- For emails sent via the HubSpot Sales Chrome extension, you can click the subject of the email to navigate to the email in your sent folder. Emails sent from the CRM or Outlook won't be hyperlinked.
Please note: muting an email thread prevents new real-time notifications, but the thread will continue to appear in your activity feed. Muting will not prevent free users from reaching their monthly notification limit in the activity feed.
