Go to Social > Publishing
From your HubSpot Dashboard, navigate to Social > Publishing.
How to measure your success by analyzing clicksSet your filters to All time and All campaigns to see what type of messages received the most clicks.
You also want to ensure you have selected to show all of your social media channels, so you can accurately see the most clicks across all social platforms. You can do this by clicking the Filter channels button and ensuring all social platforms are checked off.
You can rank your messages based on the number of clicks they received by selecting the Clicks tab in the menu bar. In this example, the top message received 66 clicks.
Twitter message clicks
Next, look at your best Twitter messages. Click Filter channels and make sure only the box next to your Twitter account(s) is checked off.
Now you can see only the Twitter messages that received the most clicks. Dig in and try to identify what the unifying features were among the messages that your followers found the most compelling.
Facebook message clicks
To see the Facebook messages that received the highest number of clicks, click Filter Channels and check the box next to Facebook only.
Again, the messages that received the most clicks will be the ones that your followers (and their network) found interesting enough to click through.
Filter messages by campaign
You can also filter your messages by HubSpot campaign to see which were the most captivating messages in a specific campaign. From the All Campaigns drop-down menu, select a campaign to analyze.
How to measure your success by looking at engagement
You can also see the retweets, replies, favorites, and likes that your messages have received in the Social Media Publishing tool.
Click on any post to find more useful engagement data, like the total number of clicks the message received, how many engaged contacts there were, and the number of Twitter interactions. You can also read comments from Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn on the Message Details page.
While you're on the Message Details screen, you can see a list of your engaged contacts and all of the associated social media accounts that interacted with your message.
How to look at growth over time using Reach
In addition to tracking the success of an individual post, you will want to track your social media influence over time using the Reach tool. In order to use this tool, you will need to have selected the Reach option for each applicable connected account.
Navigate to Social > Reports, then click on the Reach tab.
In the Reach tool, you'll be able to see your social media reach and map your growth over the past month. All of your social media accounts will appear on the graph. (You can use the dropdown at the top-right to filter to different timeframes.)
If you want to see all of your historic messages on a spreadsheet (and not just the last month), you can also export the details of all messages in the Publishing tool. This is useful if you want to analyze broader trends in your messages. To learn how to export, read this guide.
