Create workflows using guided templates

If you're new to building workflows, create workflows using guided templates for a step-by-step walkthrough. Each template focuses on a specific goal, such as welcoming new customers or sending confirmation emails for events.
Because these templates include marketing email sends, users must have at least Write permission for Email to create a workflow with a guided template.
To create a workflow using a guided template:
  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
  • On the workflows dashboard, view the available guided templates. Select one of the templates by clicking Set up this workflow under the template. This will bring you to the first page of the setup guide. 

  • On each page of the setup guide, set up the required fields, clicking Next in the bottom right to navigate to the next page.
  • At the last step of the setup guide, click Create in the bottom right to create the workflow. You'll then be brought to the workflow editor.
  • In the workflow editor, you can continue to set up workflow enrollment triggers, actions, and settings as needed.
  • When you've finished setting up your workflow, learn how to review and turn on the workflow.

Once you create a workflow, the number of available templates will reduce to 4. After you've created more than 4 workflows, the guided template options will no longer appear.
