Receive inbound calls with calling apps within HubSpot (BETA)

You can answer inbound phone calls from your calling app within HubSpot. You can access records and take notes from your desktop without the need to forward the call to a cellular device. Once the inbound call is answered through the app, it'll be saved to the call index page so you can take notes and review the call when it ends. 

Please note: you must use a supported browser to receive calls with calling apps in HubSpot. Safari isn't supported with inbound browser calling.

Set up inbound calling with calling apps

To set up inbound calling with calling apps:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to General. Then, click the Calling tab.
  • Under Calling provider, click the Make and receive calls through dropdown menu, and select the app name.
  • Calling-providerClick the calling Inbound Calling icon on the top right navigation bar. From the pop-up banner, click Open call tab.

  • The call dialer will open in a separate window, which enables you to receive inbound calls in your HubSpot browser. The call dialer must remain open to receive inbound calls.
You may need to log in to the calling app.

Receive and manage inbound calls with calling apps

  • Once you have set up inbound calling with calling apps and you're ready to receive calls, set your availability status to Available.
  • When you receive an incoming call, you’ll be alerted with the call notification in the call icon on your menu.

Review inbound calls and voicemails

  • Once a call is completed, it'll be logged on the call index page. Calls that aren’t answered are logged as missed calls.
  • If you have turned on call recording settings on your calling app and in HubSpot, you can review the recording on the call index page
