You can view the Time Spent Viewing Email data for each of your emails from the post-send performance screen of the email. This data is an approximation of the time that a contact had your email open until navigating away from the email.
This is calculated from the time that contacts initially open and download the email open tracking pixel. After a few seconds, the pixel returns a 307 redirect to another pixel, which returns a 307 to yet another, and so on. Eventually, HubSpot detects that the connection has been closed or there are no additional 307 redirects and HubSpot determines that the recipient has navigated away from the email.
To view the Time Spent Viewing Email data for an email:
- Navigate to Content > Email.
- Find and click on the email for which you'd like to see Time Spent Viewing Email data.
- Click the Opened tab under Performance.
- Scroll down to the Time Spent Viewing Email section.
